Joanne Tinley Jewellery will be 10 years old
on Wednesday 1st September,
and I’d love you to help me celebrate!
Wow! Those free copies of my “Beautiful Chains, Step-by-Step” went quickly – they were downloaded within five minutes of the blog post going live! Sorry if you missed out, but another day, another present….
As I said in my post on Thursday, I’ve been busy filming three new Skillshare jewellery making video classes, and here is the second of them.
I made two pairs of earrings in the Petal Earrings class and at the end of the video showed one pair with a darker antiqued patina or surface treatment/colour. This effect is sometimes called ‘oxidised’ as it can mimic the colour that silver goes when it is tarnished or oxidised. I don’t use it on all of my jewellery designs but it can be a lovely way of highlighting a beautiful texture. I also like to use it sometimes on jewellery with lighter stones or beads, especially pink stones – I’m not a pink with bright polished silver type of girl!
This new class teaches you how to easily give your silver jewellery this effect quickly and easily and with the minimum of equipment. Just as with the Petal Earrings class I’m offering the first 50 places free – just click here to claim one – but of course if you would like unlimited access to the hundreds of classes on Skillshare, paying $0.99 for the first three months, then follow this link!
I hope that you have a lovely day – we had a great day in the sun at the Victorious Music Festival in Southsea yesterday, so it’s a much quieter lazy day today!
